This is an example of a program:

DAY 1
Pick up from the airport and transport to Kukkolaforsen. If you travel to or from Rovaniemi a visit to Santa Claus and the Arctic Circle is possible.

DAY 2
Visit the small family business at Arkadia Reindeer farm in Simo, across the border in Finland. You´ll get to feed the reindeer and take pictures with them. You´ll even get to ride in a sleigh to experience the beauty of nature while being pulled by the reindeer. Lunch is served in the big Sami Kota where the family gives you a short guiding of their history.

On our way back we visit the Snow Castle in Kemi or take a city tour in Tornio/Haparanda

DAY 3
Snowshoe walking: Walking with snowshoes in the deep snow, you can admire the beautiful wintry scenery. If you are lucky, you may even see some animal prints in the snow.

Baking bread in the timber smoke hut which is one of the oldest buildings in the Kukkola cultural village. We bake bread on an open fire. While baking, you will hear about the food traditions and the culture of Kukkola village.

DAY 4
Snowmobiling Wilderness-Safari: The safari route runs just on the border, along traditional forest tracks, winter roads, and the frozen river in the wilderness in two countries – Finland and Sweden. During the tour, you´ll enjoy an Outdoor Lunch

Sauna and hot tub: Experience the tradition of a traditional Sauna evening in the spirit of Lapland. Enjoy our wooden-fired outdoor hot tub close to the river. If you are lucky you might even see some northern lights in the evening sky.

DAY 5
Visiting the Husky-dog farm & sled ride. Visit a small local husky farm family business where a husky musher will tell you about the dogs and their training program. Before your sled ride you´ll get plenty of time to pet the dogs.

DAY 6
Optional Activities. Perhaps an Ice Breaker tour?

Sauna SPA is a more active version of the sauna evening it´s a combination of training and relaxing. The method increases metabolism, and the removal of toxins, and has a positive effect on your sleep. Natural face mask and foot bath are included.

DAY 7
Ice fishing: You´ll enjoy a day outside on the Torne River, just on the border between Sweden and Finland.  A guide will teach you how to drill the hole in the ice and prepare the fishing rod and bait

White Fish grilling in the Timber Smoke Hut. The fish is grilled over an open fire and during the grilling of the fish, you get to hear about the methods of preparing fish as well as the history of the fishing culture in Kukkola.

DAY 8
Transfer to airport

Package includes:
– Transfers from Luleå, Rovaniemi, Oulu, or Kemi-Tornio airports. Please provide flight information when booking
– Accommodation in a double room in a hotel, in a bungalow, or Junior Suite, all with a river view
– Activities: Visit the husky farm, reindeer farm, and Kemi Snow Castle, Snowshoe hiking, Snowmobile safari, Traditional baking and Whitefish grilling in the timber house, Two special sauna evenings Sauna and hot tub and Sauna Spa, Ice fishing and Visit to Santa Claus Village if you fly to Rovaniemi
– Outdoor clothing
– Full board, which means breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to a predetermined menu
– Sauna available every day
